Researchers in one 2010 study found out that ginger was an effective relief for pain resulting from an exercise-induced injury— one of the causes of arthritis.

    Green tea contains polyphenols which are antioxidants and anti-inflammatory in nature. Polyphenols contain epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG. These polyphenols help relieve arthritis-related pains and reduce cartilage damage.

    Boswellia, which is also called Indian frankincense, is an herbal extract from the Boswellia Serrata tree which has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory for the relief of arthritis pain. Boswellia is rich in beta-boswellic acid, a chemical compound which has been proven to reduce inflammation and treat rheumatoid arthritis, as well as osteoarthritis, prevents cartilage loss, and inhibits the autoimmune process.
